Court-appointed special advocates for juveniles in the court system. Training is provided.
AARP Tax-Aide Volunteer Counselors
AARP Tax-Aide needs highly dedicated individuals who want to help others and be part of an engaging team. Tax-Aide volunteer counselors learn tax laws and basic tax forms through classroom training and supplemental materials. They provide free information and confidential tax assistance to low- and middle-income seniors. After completing an IRS-certified, open-book exam, volunteers work at Tax-Aide site(s) for a minimum of 40 hours between February 1 and April 15. AARP membership is not required.
